Le Zodiaque est une ceinture imaginaire sur la sphère céleste, s'étendant d'environ 8° de latitude de part et d'autre de l'écliptique et dans laquelle se situent les trajectoires du Soleil, de la Lune et des cinq planètes (Mercure, Vénus, Mars, Jupiter et Saturne) du système solaire sauf Pluton. Le zodiaque est partagé depuis l'Antiquité en 12 parties qui s'étendent chacune sur 30° de longitude, appelées «signes du zodiaque». En partant de l'équinoxe vernal et en progressant ensuite vers l'est le long de l'écliptique, chaque division porte le nom de la constellation avec laquelle elle coïncidait il y a environ 2 000 ans. Les noms des signes du zodiaque sont : Aries, le Bélier; Taurus, le Taureau; Gemini, les Gémeaux; Cancer, le Cancer; Leo, le Lion; Virgo, la Vierge; Libra, la Balance; Scorpio, le Scorpion; Sagittarius, le Sagittaire; Capricornus, le Capricorne; Aquarius, le Verseau et Pisces, les Poissons. 3, record 10, French, - zodiaque
