The purpose of the Departmental Advisory Committee on Official Languages (DACOL), chaired by the Director of Programs and Liaison of the Treasury Board Secretariat's [TBS] Official Languages Branch, is to provide a mechanism for consultation and communication concerning official languages among the main players in official languages: the TBS, the Privy Council Office, Justice Canada, the Public Service Commission, the Translation Bureau, Canadian Heritage, the Office of the Commissioner of Official Languages (with observer status) and the departments and agencies (about 30). The DACOL studies issues related to the direction and implementation of the Official Languages Program in federal organizations. Ad hoc committees are formed to support the DACOL.

Le PAJLO, qui s'appelait voilà peu le «Programme national de l'administration de la justice dans les deux langues officielles», est devenu tout récemment «Promotion de l'accès à la justice dans les deux langues officielles». Par ailleurs, les activités de l'ancien PAJLO, en particulier les activités de normalisation et de jurilinguistique, ont été intégrées au Fonds d'appui à l'accès à la justice dans les deux langues officielles, un nouveau programme créé par Justice Canada dans le cadre du Plan d'action pour les langues officielles du gouvernement. À la demande générale, nous avons conservé l'acronyme PAJLO et lui avons donné une nouvelle signification et une nouvelle portée. PAJLO comprend désormais trois composantes : le Fonds d'appui à l'accès à la justice dans les deux langues officielles, le mécanisme de consultation (Groupe fpt et sous-comité consultatif sur l'accès à la justice dans les deux langues officielles) et la normalisation du vocabulaire français de la common law. SICE for short from its Spanish acronym - (Sistema de Información sobre Comercio Exterior) was established by the Organization of American States (OAS) to provide foreign trade information to the public and private sectors of members states, in order to help them promote the entry of their country's products into foreign markets and to assist them in the decision-making process. Since 1988, it has provided trade information on an on-line system available around the clock, bringing together data from different sources.
