Urée-formol : Résine sirupeuse, thermodurcissable par adjonction d'un durcisseur plus ou moins acide. Bien que le mélange puisse durcir à température ambiante, on l'utilise surtout à chaud (vers 100 °C) dans l'industrie de la transformation des bois : fabrication des contre-plaqués, lattés, panneaux de particules, charpentes en lamellé-collé, collage des stratifiés minces sur bois. C'est une colle puissante et économique [...] En isolation thermique, l'urée-formol est utilisée par injection et expansion sous forme de mousse isolante.
