Les antigènes de classe 1 interviennent dans la phrase effectrice de la réponse immunitaire (lymphocytes T, CD 8), soit dans le cadre de la réponse allogénique :[...] soit dans le cadre de la réponse anti-virale : reconnaissance et lyse par la cellule T d'une cellule portant à sa surface un antigène viral, associé à un antigène de classe 1 autologue.
