Madroño del Pacífico, madroña. Arbutus menziesii. Familia: Ericaceae. Origen: Noroeste de California. Este arbusto grande o árbol siempreverde (hoja perenne) puede superar los 15 metros. Hojas: Pesistentes, alternas, simples, ovaladas, de color verde oscuro, con bordes dentados. Su madera es utilizada para hacer paquetes barnizados, revestimientos y molduras para interiores. También se lo puede utilizar como carbón vegetal.
