asolar; arrasar; destruir: La Fundación del Español Urgente (Fundéu BBVA), con el asesoramiento de la Real Academia Española, indica que "asolar", con el significado de "arrasar" o "destruir" un lugar, admite dos conjugaciones, una regular y otra irregular (asola y asuela). [...] Sin embargo, tal y como señala la Academia, hoy es habitual, incluso en la lengua culta, que se conjugue también como regular (yo asolo, tú asolas, él asola y ellos asolan) [...] Por el contrario, cuando el verbo "asolar" significa "secar" (de sol), solo tiene la conjugación regular: El extremo calor asola los campos.
