Atenuación que se produce en comunicaciones digitales cuando a un valor cuantificado, un octeto, se le asigna otro valor menor, según una tabla de atenuación digital.

OBS

Esta atenuación modifica la secuencia de los bits en el octeto, por lo que no se mantiene la integridad de los bits, no debiéndose usar en transmisión de datos.
