Appareil destiné à estimer les risques de gels nocturnes au moyen de la lecture des températures fournies d'une part par un thermomètre mouillé et d'autre part par un thermomètre sec.

CONT

Le pagoscope est constitué d'un psychromètre, entre les deux thermomètres duquel est placé un abaque sur lequel se déplace une aiguille. Cette aiguille est amenée devant le chiffre indiquant la température donnée par le thermomètre mouillé, et croise alors en un certain point une ligne indiquant la température marquée par le thermomètre sec. Selon que ce point d'intersection est dans l'une des zones verte, jaune ou rouge du tableau, il y a sécurité quant à la gelée (vert), probabilité (jaune), ou certitude (rouge).
