We also found that individual innovative behavior was influenced by the role expectations of the supervisor, providing support for the Pygmalion Effect (Livingston, 1969). This suggests that supervisory expectations, in fact, do shape the behavior of subordinates and that this effect is independent of the quality of the relationship between supervisor and subordinate. 1, record 1, English, - Pygmalion%20effect
