A substance released in the anaphylactic reaction that induces slow, prolonged contraction of certain smooth muscles. It is composed of a mixture of leukotrienes C4, D4 and E4.

Médiateur chimique libéré, au cours des réactions allergiques de type I et responsable d'une contraction des fibres musculaires lisses plus tardive mais plus prolongée que celle due à l'histamine. Identifié actuellement comme étant un mélange de leucotriènes LTC 4, LTD 4 et LTE 4, provenant du métabolisme de l'acide arachidonique par la voie de la lipo-oxygénase.
