En algunos casos (por ejemplo, máquinas de proceso de datos) se puede conseguir que la amortización sea fiscalmente deducible a pesar de hacerse en un plazo inferior al habitual. Méthode qui consiste à répartir l'assiette de l'amortissement en la multipliant par une fraction dont le numérateur est le nombre prévu d'années de vie utile non écoulées plus (soit l'année pour laquelle l'amortissement est calculé) et le dénominateur, la somme des nombres représentant les années de vie utile prévues. Ainsi, pour un bien ayant une durée de vie utile de cinq ans, le dénominateur est de 15 (1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 5) et le numérateur, 5 pour le premier exercice, 4 pour le deuxième, et ainsi de suite.

The level deposit required each year to reach 1 by a given year. The reciprocal of the compounding factor for 1 per annum. Generally obtained from a set of compounding and discounting tables. This factor permits calculating the equal installment that must be set aside each year, to be invested at compound interest, in order to have a predetermined sum at a given time. It is primarily used to determine how much must be put into a fund in order to have recovered the amount of an investment at the end of its useful life.
