Les insecticides peuvent avoir une origine végétale ou être fabriqués par synthèse. Selon leur mode d'action, on peut les diviser en deux groupes: 1- les insecticides par contact, qui tuent l'insecte ou sa larve par un effet vésicant. A ce groupe appartiennent la nicotine, la roténone, ainsi que divers produits synthétiques (...); 2- les insecticides par ingestion, qui tuent par intoxication alimentaire.
