A valve on the end of a water pipe by means of which water can be drawn from or held within the pipe.

OBS

The use of the terms "valve, faucet, cock, bibb, stopper, tap", etc., has created such confusion that there is an attempt to confine them all to one or two terms. The desired terms are "faucet" for plumbing fixtures and "valve" for other locations.
