Currently ERL refines and converts uranium concentrate to uranium dioxide and uranium hexafluoride. The LLW wastes which are produced and require disposal consist of a limed raffinate (dilute sulphuric acid slurry), calcium fluoride sludge, ammonium nitrate, garbage and scrap metal.
