A condition where objects cannot be stopped during the inspection process.

Line scan cameras are not smaller than area scan cameras. They are often deployed on machine vision systems with tight space constraints, however. Line scan systems are frequently used to inspect cylindrical objects, to meet high-resolution and/or high-speed inspection requirements, and to inspect objects in continuous motion.

Les caméras linéaires sont dotées d'un champ de vision large, et leur mode d'imagerie par acquisition successive et continue, non entrelacée, peut enregistrer de manière performante des objets qui ont une grande longueur (ou [qui] n'ont pas de début ni de fin), qui nécessitent une grande précision et qui sont en mouvement continu sur un tapis roulant ou un convoyeur.

Para efectos del prototipo que aquí se propone, el funcionamiento es intermitente, ya que en el instante de la captura de la imagen la cremallera está detenida. La justificación de ello es que en el algoritmo de inspección podamos evitar usar imágenes borrosas o un procesamiento extra debido al movimiento de la cremallera. Tal condición no exenta que en desarrollos futuros pueda trabajarse con un movimiento continuo, puesto que el prototipo está diseñado para soportar tal funcionamiento.
