Fruit de Citrus paradisi, souvent vendu sous le nom de pamplemousse ou de grape-fruit. Les pomelos poussent en grappe (d'où le nom anglais de grape-fruit). Ils sont jaunes, parfois teintés de rose ou de rouge, juteux et sucrés avec une légère amertume. 4, record 3, French, - pomelo

Le terme "pamplemousse", bien que désignant une autre espèce [fruit du Citrus grandis], est universellement utilisé pour ce fruit ["grapefruit"] au Canada. 3, record 3, French, - pomelo

On note, par contre, que d'après le Grand Larousse encyclopédique et le Larousse agricole (Lagri, 1981, p. 809), l'emploi du terme "pamplemousse" pour désigner "grapefruit" (fruit du Citrus paradisi) serait à éviter puisque, justement, "pamplemousse" désigne le fruit du C. grandis. Les remarques que fait Larousse sur l'emploi du terme "pamplemousse" me semblent plutôt sévères, sinon puristes, surtout en ce qui concerne le Canada. En fait, au Canada, "pamplemousse" est bel et bien passé dans l'usage pour désigner le fruit de Citrus paradisi [grapefruit] et est même sanctionné par l'OLF (cf.
