John Kim Bell. Conductor, administrator, pianist, composer. He established in Toronto in 1985 the Canadian Native Arts Foundation (CNAF), to increase awareness of the artistic opportunities for, and to develop the potential talent of, the Native people through education. The foundation held a benefit concert at Roy Thomson Hall, 8 Feb. 1987, that featured the US performer Bernadette Peters, Native singer Eilleen Twain, and Native guitarist Donn Ross. Bell, John Kim. Chef d’orchestre, administrateur, pianiste, compositeur, producteur. En 1985, il crée à Toronto la Fondation canadienne des arts autochtones pour sensibiliser les autochtones à la possibilité d’une carrière artistique et les aider à développer leurs talents. La fondation organise au Roy Thomson Hall, le 8 février 1987, un concert bénéfice auquel prennent part l'Américaine Bernadette Peters et deux autochtones, la chanteuse Eilleen Twain et le guitariste Don Ross. The Dancer Transition Resource Centre (DTRC) was founded in 1985 and its mandate is to help dancers make necessary transitions into, within, and from professional performing careers.
