Assignment of trademark ... An assignment is the legal transfer of ownership of any property such as a trademark or copyright from the owner to another party, who then becomes the new owner.

OBS

To be effective, a trademark assignment must include the transfer of the goodwill accrued in the assigned mark beyond mere assignment of the mark itself.
