Dental lasers can be categorized by their medium, wavelength, and types of tissue they are used for. Hard-tissue lasers have been used for bone cutting, caries detection, whitening, restorative care and as desensitizers. Soft-tissue lasers are used for the removal of hyperplastic tissue, periodontal care, frenectomies, gingivectomies, gingival recontouring, photostimulation of herpetic lesions and wound healing, with the type of laser depending on the procedure. 2, record 2, English, - dental%20laser

Endovenous laser treatment (EVLT), also known as endovenous laser ablation, is a minimally invasive, office-based treatment for varicose veins. It uses ultrasound guidance to direct laser energy into diseased, malfunctioning veins. Once laser energy is delivered, the targeted veins collapse and seal closed. Afterward, blood flow is redirected to healthy, surrounding veins. 1, record 3, English, - endovenous%20laser%20treatment

1, record 4, French, - k%C3%A9ratomileusie%20in%20situ%20au%20laser

Record number: 5, Textual support number: 1 CONT
[In photorefractive keratectomy (PRK)] the laser is used to remove the outer layer of the cornea and flatten the cornea. The flattening of the cornea is intended to correct myopia (nearsightedness) and astigmatism (uneven curvature of the cornea that distorts vision). PRK is an ambulatory procedure done in the office with numbing eye drops. It takes about a minute to do and about 3 days to heal. No eye patch need be worn after PRK. 2, record 5, English, - photorefractive%20keratectomy
