The ocean and the atmosphere form a complex coupled system, exchanging gases, water (and water vapour), particles, momentum, and energy at the air-sea interface. These exchanges affect the biological, chemical, and physical processes of the ocean and influence the water cycle, weather, and climate. The ocean affects Earth's climate through the long-term consequences of these exchanges. For example, the ocean is a gigantic reservoir for CO2 [carbon dioxide], which plays a critical role in shaping climate change. A resistive touch screen is made of two transparent layers of glass or plastic, each coated with a conducting layer of indium tin oxide (ITO). The conducting sides face one another and are separated by an air gap. When pressure is applied by the user, the top layer bends and touches the bottom layer. This causes a small amount of current to flow at the point where they connect. The location of the touch event can then be measured by the sensors. 3, record 8, English, - resistive%20touch%20screen

Combustion Override Split Production Horizontal Well Process (COSH). The main feature of this process, developed by the Alberta Research Council (ARC), is implementation of gravity drainage using a basal horizontal well in a combustion process. The configuration of different wells is critical to the operation of this process. A linear configuration of vertical air injection wells is drilled and completed in the upper portion of the reservoir. A horizontal oil production well is completed in the bottom of the reservoir, aligned and positioned beneath the vertical injection wells. The reservoir is prepared for ignition and combustion is initiated at each of the injection wells. A hot fluid-transmissive chamber is formed around each of the injection wells as combustion proceeds. Combustion gas communication is established with the gas production wells. Heated oil and water, produced by the combustion front in each hot chamber, drains under the effect of gravity and is brought to the surface through the horizontal production well. 3, record 10, English, - combustion%20override%20split%20production%20horizontal%20well%20process

Record number: 10, Textual support number: 1 OBS

Pioneered by International Paint in the early 1970s, the overall contribution of SPC technology to the fuel efficiency of the global fleet has been significant. 1, record 31, English, - self%2Dpolishing%20copolymer

3, record 63, French, - collage%20par%20pression%20diff%C3%A9rentielle

The mucin layer is composed of glycoproteins. It is the thinnest and innermost layer of the tear film, and serves two primary functions: First, since it is "water attracting" near the aqueous layer, it enables that layer to spread smoothly over the surface of the cornea. 1.

[In electrochemistry], the interfacial concentration ... is the concentration of that species at the boundary of the electric double layer facing the solution, i.e. just outside the region where the departures from the electroneutrality of the solution are significant. This concept is mainly used in the usual case where the thickness of the electric double layer is very small as compared to that of the diffusion layer. It is often calculated from theory or derived from measurements of the limiting current. 1, record 74, English, - interfacial%20concentration
