Calhoun performed clogging tests to determine the degree of fabric clogging that might be experienced by fabric in contact with a gap-graded soil. The clogging test employed a permeameter device ... Hydraulic gradient data from the soil-fabric permeameters were analyzed to determine the clogging potential of a fabric. The analysis made use of a ratio of the hydraulic gradient across the fabric plus an adjacent 1 in. of soil to the hydraulic gradient for the entire system, that is, the "clogging ratio."

3, record 18, French, - %C3%A9coulement%20hypodermique
Record number: 18, Textual support number: 1 OBS

4, record 24, French, - %C3%A9paississeur

Such immobilized cells may be used in a fixed bed, expanded bed, fluid bed or fully mixed system. ... Although many so-called fermentation reactions are carried out under aerobic conditions, these are of little interest in the present context since, when oxygen is used as the terminal electron acceptor, the production of low molecular weight metabolites of the type required is restricted and a high proportion of the carbon in the feedstock is converted into cell biomass. 1, record 32, English, - cell%20biomass

For any given protein the isoelectric pH will vary somewhat, depending on the ionic composition of the medium, since proteins can bind certain anions and/or cations. When a protein solution is thoroughly dialyzed against distilled H2O to remove all small ions other than -H[superscript+] and OH-, the pH of the resulting solution is known as the isoionic pH. 3, record 38, French, - pH%20isoionique
