Riparian delta water: These wetlands occur on alluvial plains and areas where alluvium is deposited where a river or stream enters a lake. An active delta is well drained with interconnecting channels, lakes and ponds. The process of sediment deposition is ongoing. Associated wetlands are flooded frequently. In some instances, former lake shorelines have receded or disappeared over geologic time leaving isolated deltas. Flooding of associated wetlands is infrequent, due to river flooding or wind tides (seiches). 1, record 2, English, - riparian%20delta%20water

The commercially-available sling pump consists of a helically-wound hose within a drum-shapedbody that has a propeller at the front. A swivel coupling at the front end of the pump allows the body of the pump to rotate freely without affecting the discharge pipe. Water flowing past the propeller at the front of the unit sets the entire body of the pump in a slow rotational motion. Alternating slugs of air and water enter the intake of the spiral hose and are forced along the pipe by the rotational motion of the pump. The sling pump can also be powered by the wind, instead of flowing water. Because the swivel coupling is the only mechanical component comprising the pump, it is virtually maintenance-free. 2, record 11, English, - sling%20pump

The driving force for root uptake is the water potential difference between soil and plant. Water is transported from high potential to low. There are two principally different resistances to water transfer from the soil to the exchangeable pool in the plant. In the soil, the resistance depends on soil characteristics and soil water potential, while in the plant, biological factors regulate the resistance. The first resistance is called the soil-root resistance (rr) and the second is called the plant resistance (rp) and they are coupled in series, i.e. a water molecule has to path both resistances. 3, record 12, English, - resistance%20to%20water%20transfer
