Pour les galeries [à l'intérieur d’un réseau karstique] on a coutume de distinguer deux types principaux de sections, celui que l'on considère comme caractéristique d’un creusement «en conduite forcée» et celui qui serait dû à un «écoulement libre». Si cette disposition n’ est bien réalisée originellement, qu'avec l'occupation intégrale de la galerie par l'eau sous pression, la réciproque n’ est pas exacte.
