The reactor involved in the Chernobyl nuclear accident was a 1,000-MWe (3,200-MWt) RBMK, a boiling-water pressure-tube, graphite moderated power reactor that was developed and operated in the former Soviet Union. Because of the pressure-tube design using water as coolant within channels in the graphite moderator, RBMK reactors have a significant positive void coefficient of reactivity in which a reduction in the coolant density results in an increase in the system reactivity due to a reduction in neutron absorption by the coolant. 1, record 1, English, - positive%20void%20coefficient%20of%20reactivity

The general procedure for immobilizing enzymes with liquid-surfactants membranes microcapsules is similar to that used for microencapsulation with permanent membranes. The aqueous enzyme-containing solution is emulsified with a surfactant to form the liquid membrane encapsulated enzyme. Once prepared, the microcapsules are transferred to an aqueous solution to which then can be added the substrate. 2, record 17, English, - liquid%2Dsurfactant%20membrane%20microcapsule

We investigate the coupling of river network structure and hydraulic geometry thereby relaxing the assumption of spatially invariant celerities and hydrodynamic dispersion coefficients. The presence of spatially varying celerities induces a dispersion effect, referred to as kinematic dispersion, on the network travel time distribution. Its contribution to the total dispersion is comparable to that due to the heterogeneity of path lengths, that is, geomorphologic dispersion, and significantly larger than the hydrodynamic dispersion. 1, record 26, English, - kinematic%20dispersion

1, record 38, French, - phase%20de%20dispersion

The model assumes three separate phases in the behaviour of dredged material dumped in open water: 1) Convective descent. The dredged material forms a cloud whose descent is dominated by gravity. 2) Dynamic collapse. The cloud hits the sea floor or reaches a depth where its buoyancy becomes neutral and horizontal spreading dominates. 3) Passive transport-diffusion. At this stage, behaviour is determined more by ambient conditions than by the dynamics of the disposal operation. 1, record 42, English, - STFATE

2, record 66, French, - lixiviation

The Shell Fabric: Exterior is treated with a highly durable ultra thin coating which sheds water better than any known system. The woven fabric itself is a high count, double denier nylon, developed to withstand wind and rain. The interior is treated with Entrant's microporous waterproof, breathable composite. The insulation: A two layer, revolutionary laminate consisting of polyester, TEIJINCOMEX and wool. The first layer: Polyester and TEIJINCONEX; the TEIJINCOMEX, an aramid polyamide fiber with the supreme capabilities for heat retention while wicking and dispersing moisture; blended with polyester, supple enough to conform to the contour of the body while it creates dead air space. The second layer: A polyester and wool blend; providing warmth and furthering moisture dispersement. The Lining: Either aluminium coated mesh; reflecting body heat while remaining breathable. Or, brushed tricot; warm breathable and quick drying. 1, record 69, English, - thermoclad
