A system for treating crude or settled sewage, often taking the form of parallel channels joined at the ends to form a closed circuit and equipped with aeration rotors.

There is an increasing emphasis on correlating environmental impacts and health effects across Canada and therefore a need for a relational database containing water use data, accessible by governments and the public. The database consists of basic municipal population as well as water and sewage flow information from 1355 Canadian municipalities. It also includes simple raw data summations. Some water use groups, water treatment and wastewater treatment types, and effluent data are available as well.

C'est pourquoi, une base de données relationnelles comprenant des données sur l'utilisation de l'eau est nécessaire, base de données accessible par les gouvernements et le public. La base de données comprend les populations municipales de base ainsi que des renseignements sur l'alimentation en eau et l'écoulement des eaux d’égout fournis par 1 355 municipalités canadiennes.
