The bias-variance tradeoff is a fundamental problem in machine learning and statistics. It is the problem of finding a model that accurately predicts the target function while also minimizing the number of errors. The tradeoff is between the model's ability to fit the data (bias) and the model's ability to generalize to new data (variance). 3, record 1, English, - bias%2Dvariance%20tradeoff

In k-fold cross-validation, the original sample is randomly partitioned into k equal sized subsamples. Of the k subsamples, a single subsample is retained as the validation data for testing the model, and the remaining k − 1 subsamples are used as training data. The cross-validation process is then repeated k times, with each of the k subsamples used exactly once as the validation data. The k results can then be averaged to produce a single estimation. 2, record 2, English, - k%2Dfold%20cross%2Dvalidation

3, record 2, French, - validation%20crois%C3%A9e%20%C3%A0%20k%20blocs
