Hire Immigrants Ottawa (HIO) is a community-based initiative that brings together employers, immigrant agencies and stakeholders to enhance employers’ ability to access the talents of skilled immigrants in the Ottawa area. The initiative was launched in 2006 as a response to a growing need to identify and address barriers faced by employers in the hiring and integration of skilled immigrants into the labour force. HIO’s objective is to increase the capacity of employers in the Ottawa region to effectively integrate skilled immigrants into the local workforce.

Embauche immigrants Ottawa(EIO) est une initiative communautaire qui réunit employeurs, agences d’immigrants et intervenants en vue d’augmenter la capacité des employeurs d’avoir accès aux talents d’immigrants qualifiés de la région d’Ottawa. L'initiative a été lancée en 2006, pour répondre au besoin grandissant d’identifier et d’éliminer les obstacles auxquels font face les employeurs au niveau de l'embauche et de la rétention d’immigrants qualifiés dans le marché du travail. L'objectif d’EIO est d’augmenter la capacité des employeurs de la région d’Ottawa d’intégrer de façon efficiente des immigrants qualifiés à la main-d’œuvre locale.
