Record number: 1, Textual support number: 1 DEF
A state of suspended animation induced in organisms (as rotifers) by desiccation and ending on return of moisture in resumption of normal life. 1, record 1, English, - anhydrobiosis
Record number: 1, Textual support number: 1 OBS
According to the Webster's third new international dictionary of the English Language, "anabiosis" is a synonym of "anhydrobiosis" and this latter term also means "life away from water (of a usually aquatic organism)." According to the Oxford English Dictionary, however, "anabiosis" is not a synonym for "anhydrobiosis" but means "A coming to life again, the power which certain organisms possess of regaining vital activity after being dried and heated," a concept closely related to that of "reviviscence" and of which the French equivalent is "anabiose" (or "réviviscence"). 2, record 1, English, - anhydrobiosis

Record number: 1, Textual support number: 1 DEF
1, record 1, French, - anhydrobiose
Record number: 1, Textual support number: 1 OBS
1, record 1, French, - anhydrobiose
Record number: 1, Textual support number: 2 OBS
2, record 1, French, - anhydrobiose

Record number: 2, Textual support number: 1 OBS
Traditionally, catalysts are prepared in such a way as to produce large surface areas. They are therefore usually either finely divided or porous or both. For the maintenance of a large surface area of the catalytic component, use if frequently made of substances which in themselves are inert, but which are capable of supporting the active catalyst in a form that resists sintering. Common supports are alumina, kieselguhr, silica gel, and even silica-alumina catalysts. 4, record 2, English, - catalyst%20carrier

2, record 4, French, - mouvement%20ciliaire
