The International Mobility in Higher Education Program (IMHEP) is composed of two main components undertaken in partnership with other countries: the Program for North American Mobility in Higher Education and the Canada-European Community Program for Co-operation in Higher Education and Training. Projects supported by the Program are undertaken by consortium partnerships of universities and colleges which collaborate, on a multi-year basis, on student-centred innovative activities relating to the development of international joint curriculum, teaching materials, and new educational technologies.

Les principales composantes du programme de Mobilité internationale en éducation supérieure sont le Programme de mobilité nord-américaine en matière d’éducation supérieure et le Programme de coopération Canada-Communauté européenne en matière d’éducation supérieure et le Programme de coopération Canada-Communauté européenne en matière d’éducation supérieure et de formation. Les projets financés sont entrepris par un regroupement d’universités et collèges qui collaborent, sur une base pluri-annuelle, à des activités innovatrices axées sur les étudiants et portant sur l'élaboration d’un programme international conjoint, de matériel didactique et de nouvelles technologies en matière d’éducation.
