To reduce pilot workload still further, Eurofighter Typhoon has a unique Voice Throttle And Stick (VTAS) system. This system allows the pilot to keep his Hands on Throttle and Stick (HOTAS) and operate the majority of the aircraft's controls from this position. Other commands can be give through Direct Voice Input (DVI). Due to the drastically reduced workload pilots are able to focus on the mission and systems operation.
