... types of augmented reality (AR) systems are: video see-through, and optical see-through. In a video see-through system the user sees a live video of the real world and sees objects augmented onto this video. For example, video see-through may be applied for use on a phone display. In contrast to a video see-through display to display AR [augmented reality] and a representation of the real world in a video display, in an optical see-through display, the user sees objects augmented directly onto the real-world. As described herein, optical see-through displays (OSDs) includes head mounted displays (HMDs). 4, record 2, English, - video%20see%2Dthrough%20head%20mounted%20display

Optical see-through head-mounted displays (OST-HMD) find myriads of applications from scientific visualization to defense applications, from medical visualization to engineering processes, and from training to entertainment. In mixed or augmented reality systems, OST-HMDs have been one of the basic vehicles for combining computer-generated virtual scene with the views of a real-world scene. Typically through an optical combiner, an OST-HMD maintains a direct view of the physical world and optically superimposes computer-generated images onto the real scene. Compared with a video see-through approach where the real-world views are captured through cameras, it has the advantage of introducing minimal degradation to the real world scene. Therefore an OST-HMD is preferred for applications where a non-blocked real-world view is critical. 1, record 3, English, - optical%20see%2Dthrough%20head%20mounted%20display

An augmented reality system comprises a real reference generator for displaying a real reference on a calibration screen, an optical see-through display having a fixed position with respect to the real reference generator and a virtual reference generator for displaying a virtual reference on the optical see-through display. The augmented reality system further comprises an input device for aligning a view of the virtual reference with a view of the real reference through the optical see-through display, wherein the virtual reference is moved on the optical see-through display, and a processor for determining one or more parameters for rendering a virtual object as part of a real scene seen through the optical see-through display. 4, record 3, English, - optical%20see%2Dthrough%20head%20mounted%20display

To maintain a stable perception of the world around us while we engage in normal movements throughout our day, such as walking, we have something known as the vestibulo-ocular reflex (VOR). This reflex keeps us steady and balanced even though our eyes and head are continuously moving when we perform most actions. When we make a head movement, our eye muscles are triggered instantly to create an eye movement opposite to that of our head movement at the exact same speed to readjust the visual world, which, in turn, stabilizes our retinal image by keeping the eye still in space and focused on an object, despite the head motion. 8, record 7, English, - vestibulo%2Docular%20reflex

2, record 20, French, - affichage%20en%20pseudo%2Dcouleurs

The newsboy cap ... was first worn in the late 1800s and early 1900s by newspaper sellers. It's similar to a flat cap in that both are typically constructed from tweed and have a rounded, low profile and a small visor or brim. The largest distinction is that newsboy caps are puffier and baggier than a standard flat cap. Newsboy caps are sewn together with 8 panels on top that look like pizza slices and almost always have a button on top where the panels meet. 3, record 32, English, - newsboy%20cap

Many more of these particles strike the earth in the morning than at night and frequently observing persons in their morning walks can plainly see evidences of the meteoric showers.

4, record 86, French, - particule%20m%C3%A9t%C3%A9orique
