The storm coming from the east has produced reverse loading in alpine areas. [Example approved by the Avalanche Bulletin Terminology Standardization Committee.] 1, record 4, English, - reverse%20loading
Record number: 4, Textual support number: 1 OBS
When a slope is loaded by the wind, there is a very general pattern to it, which results from the typical "weather pattern." For example - the prevailing storm pattern in western Canada is from the southwest and this will deposit snow on the northeast side of the mountains (generally). When the weather pattern reverses and we get an "upslope" storm, the weather comes from the east and we will see a "reverse loading" pattern. So, basically it means a windloading pattern that is opposite to the prevailing pattern. [Reference: Grant Statham, Avalanche Specialist, Parks Canada.] 2, record 4, English, - reverse%20loading

1, record 9, French, - %C3%A0%2Dpic%20d%27envahissement

Terrain can influence the transport and diffusion of hazardous gases to a critical degree, especially for heavier-than-air gases. Channelling of winds along valleys can lead to transport of gases with restricted lateral diffusion for considerable distances. In light winds, the slope of terrain has a significant influence on local airflow. Cooled topographic features in the case of release of cold gas have resulted in slope flows .... 1, record 10, English, - slope%20flow

2, record 10, French, - %C3%A9coulement%20de%20pente
