2, record 2, Spanish, - submarinismo

Diving Apparatus. Any equipment to enable a person to spend time underwater. Diving bells were in regular use in the 17th century, the diver breathing air trapped in a bell-shaped chamber. This was followed by cumbersome diving suits in the early 19th century. Complete freedom of movement came with the aqualung, invented by Jacques-Yves Cousteau in the early 1940s. For work at greater depths the technique of saturation diving was developed in the 1970s in which divers live for a week or more breathing a mixture of helium and oxygen at the pressure existing on the seabed where they work (as in work on North Sea platforms and tunnel building). 3, record 4, English, - diving%20apparatus

3, record 4, French, - scaphandre

By 1828 the device evolved into Deane's patented diving dress, the unit considered of a heavy suit to protect the diver from the cold, a helmet with viewing ports connected to the divers waist. Deep diving systems. With the increase in offshore oil and gas drilling, and with offshore mining being contemplated, a more efficient system of diving deep has been developed. This system, called either deep dive system (DDS) or advanced dive system (ADS), incorporates a pressurized personnel transfer capsule (PTC), like an elevator, in which the divers ascend and descend rapidly to working depths. The divers, employing mixed-gas hookah breathing apparatus and wearing lightweight suits, emerge from the PTC to work. 3, record 6, English, - diving%20system

1, record 7, French, - respiration%20%C3%A0%20deux
