1, record 36, French, - pneumonie%20atypique

Bovine Respiratory Syncytial Virus (BRSV) was first isolated in the United States in 1974 and recently has been identified as a major contributing agent in the Bovine Respiratory Disease (BRD) syndrome. It was named BRSV because this Pneumovirus invades the cell lining of the trachea and lungs and because it promotes the formation of large multinucleated cells called syncytial cells in the epithelium and interstitial spaces of the lung. BRSV appears to be widespread across the United States. 3, record 37, English, - bovine%20respiratory%20syncytial%20virus

Enzootic means "affecting or peculiar to animals of a specific area or limited district". It is analogous to the term "endemic" used to describe human diseases. Thus, the name enzootic pneumonia underscores the fact that close contact between swine is a major factor in spreading the pathogens that cause the disease. Enzootic pneumonia is a problem throughout the world. 1, record 46, English, - enzootic%20pneumonia

Maedi is the Icelandic word for dyspnoea, and the disease is a type of pneumonia with a very long incubation period - one to three years or even more. Listlessness and loss of condition - often after stress of some kind - are the first symptoms. An early sign is dyspnoea; after physical exertion the breathing becomes very rapid and shallow. Later, breathing becomes difficult even when the animal is at rest, and death often follows. 3, record 47, English, - maedi

1, record 48, French, - voie%20respiratoire

Eosinophilic pneumonia. Allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis is just one example of a number of disorders in which there is pulmonary disease in association with tissue and/or blood eosinophilia. ... A number of immunological and other mechanisms are probably involved in these reactions. Where eosinophilic pneumonia is associated with parasite infestation, type I reactions are often suggested by a massive rise in total IgE, but in other cases (e.g. Loeffler's syndrome) the mechanism is obscure. 1, record 49, English, - eosinophilic%20pneumonia
