This class of wheat is grown in the Great Plains area of the U.S. which includes the states of Kansas, Nebraska, Colorado, Oklahoma, Texas, Montana, South Dakota and Wyoming. In 1981, it formed about 40% of total U.S. wheat production. The wheat is a strong type (gluten quality) and its flour produces good bread. Its average protein content is in the range of 12 to 13%; normally it has good test weight (75 to 77 kilograms per hectolitre) and is low in moisture content (11 to 12%). With proper conditioning it gives good milling results. The most prominent varieties of this group in 1981 were Newton, Larned, Eagle and Scout. Hard red winter wheat has no subclasses for grading purposes. It is assigned numerical grades but has somewhat higher (2 pounds for No. 1 and 1 pound for other grades) test weights. 1, record 41, English, - hard%20red%20winter%20wheat

The best core exercises include more than just lots of abdominal training. Although many people think of the core as a nice six-pack, or strong, toned abs, the truth is that the abdominal muscles are a very small part of the "core." The abs have very limited and specific action, and what experts refer to as the "core" actually consists of many different muscles that stabilize the spine and pelvis, and run the entire length of the torso. When these muscles contract, they stabilize the spine, pelvis and shoulder girdle and create a solid base of support. 7, record 45, English, - core%20exercise

Phytochelatins (PCs) are intracellular metal ligands produced by plants, fungi and algae in response to increase of metals in their environment. They are small metal-binding polypeptides, enzymatically produced from glutathione to form amino acids sequences (g-Glu-Cys)n-Gly where n=2 to 11. 3, record 65, French, - ballon%20%C3%A0%20volume%20constant

Let me summarize by saying the entire plan involves a fluorinated polymer base with ... a piezo-electric layer of coating [under] your skis. In other words, a tiny battery is used to apply an electric field that changes the coefficient of friction with regard to ice and water, meaning ... it makes your skis more slippery. A miniature computer chip senses the temperature and humidity in the snow as you ski, and continually adjusts the electric field to give you the best glide possible. 2, record 74, English, - chlorinated%20lubrication
Record number: 74, Textual support number: 2 OBS
NOTwax, unlike other fluorocarbons, is totally inert and won't stick to anything. So how does it stay on ski and snowboard bases? Extruded and sintered bases are essentially solid. They have no porosity except at a molecular level, but will absorb small amounts of certain liquids (such as solvents). Sintered bases are more amorphous (less crystalline) and have more ability to absorb than extruded bases. Ordinary waxes and base preparations rely on surface bonding and can't soak in more than a few microns. But NOTwax has such low viscosity and low surface tension that it will penetrate deeply into sintered bases. It stays there by capillary attraction (like water in a sponge) until the base contacts snow (or another solid surface). The wicking action of snow against the base is stronger than the capillary attraction of the base to lubricate the surface. The result is that you feel like you are riding on ball bearings. 3, record 74, English, - chlorinated%20lubrication

3, record 74, French, - lubrification%20chlor%C3%A9e

Saddle-notch corners: These are also known as saddle cope or round notch. They get their name from the saddle shaped notch cut into the bottom of each round log. This notch on the bottom of the top log straddles the top of the log coming from the perpendicular wall. Both logs then extend past the corner. The opposing walls of a saddle-notch corner system, both gable walls for example, start with a half log. This ensures that the logs overlap one another at the corners rather than butt into each other. The saddle-notch is one of the most traditional corner intersections and is favored by many handcrafters. 1, record 75, English, - saddle%2Dnotch%20corner

The jacket and swivel tethering system facilitates animal movement, yet permits sampling or protection of instrumentation and equipment. It allows much greater movement and permits simultaneous fluid sampling, drug infusion, and electronic measuring and monitoring. The tethered animal can be maintained comfortably and humanely for months, while fully instrumented. The light weight and flexibility of the tether, combined with the low friction of the swivel, inhibits very little of the animal's normal cage activity. 1, record 79, English, - jacket%20and%20swivel%20tethering%20system

1, record 89, French, - proc%C3%A9d%C3%A9%20de%20fermentation%20acide

An exemple is the sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS)-sedimentation test developed in the United Kingdom to select for gluten strength in common wheat. The SDS test quickly became established as an early generation selection test in both the Canadian and American durum wheat breeding programs. The SDS test was embraced by the American pasta industry as a durum wheat purchasing specification to guarantee strong gluten because it was rapid and gave a quantificable result. Therefore, although the SDS test was a great asset in selecting strong gluten durum wheat lines early durum wheat breeding programs, it impeded the marketing of commercial durum wheat parcels that did not meet industry SDS standards. 1, record 90, English, - sodium%20dodecyl%20sulfate%20sedimentation%20test
