Pendulum clocks are powered by mechanisms that trigger the pendulum to swing with a constant period. Traditionally, weight or spring mechanisms fulfill this purpose, but some clocks use electricity to power the pendulum. 1, record 1, English, - pendulum%20clock

3, record 1, French, - horloge%20%C3%A0%20pendule

Weight-driven clocks, as the name suggests, are mechanical clocks powered by falling weights that hang on a chain or cable. With the aid of gravity, the weights are pulled down slowly, typically in a period of 7 days. After which, the weights go back up. The chain or cable holding the weight needs to be manually pulled up or wound using a crank to start another cycle. 1, record 3, English, - weight%2Ddriven%20clock
