The treatment plant is a secondary wastewater treatment plant using an activated sludge process. Treated wastewater is discharged to the Guemes Channel. The plant is operated seven days per week, day shift only. Sludge from the treatment process is incinerated on site in a fluidized sand bed incinerator.
