Pretrained language models (PLMs) are AI models trained on extensive datasets to capture linguistic patterns, semantics, and context. These models ... serve as foundational models that can be fine-tuned for specific tasks like retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) or semantic search. PLMs are widely used in knowledge-grounded generation, context-aware generation, and other applications requiring a deep understanding of language. 3, record 1, English, - pre%2Dtrained%20language%20model

Space telerobotics is an inherently complex task, requiring mental visualization skills, fine motor visualization skills, fine motor control, and adhering to procedure and flight rules. Often space telerobotics is accomplished only using video views of the work area, so the robotic arm operator must interpret two dimensional images to create a 3D [three-dimensional] mental model of the environment and their position inside it, all the while being aware of arm kinematics and limitations, avoiding collisions, and following procedural flight rules. To add to the workload, they also control the arm in six degrees of freedom, using separate rotational and translational hand controls, where the movement axes are frequently not aligned with camera views (e.g., the operator views the scene backwards or upside down). 1, record 2, English, - space%20telerobotics

The National Occupational Classification (NOC) replaces Canada's previous occupational classification systems, the Canadian Classification and Dictionary of Occupations (CCDO) and the closely-related 1980 Standard Occupational Classification (SOC) of Statistics Canada. The NOC presents a new structure for analyzing and understanding the labour market and reflects occupational changes that have taken place over the past two decades. It also addresses problems with the CCDO that became evident when it was used for economic analysis. For example, in the NOC, occupations that encompass a wide range of skill levels are not classified together in the same unit group as they are in the CCDO. 5, record 13, English, - National%20Occupational%20Classification

Foams are relatively new forms of polymer-based materials. They are light in weight and versatile, and are employed increasingly in a variety of applications that include thermal and acoustic insulation, core materials for sandwich panels, fabrication of furniture and flotation materials. ... A plastic foam material consists of a gas phase dispersed in a solid plastic phase and derives its properties from both. The solid plastic component forms the matrix. The gas phase is contained in voids or cells. ... The term cellular plastic, a synonym for plastic foam, is derived from the structure of the material. Foams are classified as open-cell or closed-cell.

2, record 53, French, - nanostructuration%20en%20surface

The Assembly of First Nations exists to fulfill the goal of correcting these past injustices and to enhance the rightful position of the First Nations Peoples in Canada's future. Just as the people of the First Nations across Canada were becoming familiar with the NIB and its role in serving the Status Aboriginal people, an important transition in the structure of the secretariat was being discussed and eventually the Chiefs wanted to develop an organization which was truly representative and accountable to their community members, thus the NIB made the transition to becoming the Assembly of First Nations in 1982. 3, record 63, English, - Assembly%20of%20First%20Nations

Every novice knows the wigwam fire--indeed if a child who has never made a fire were told to build one, he would surely turn up with a wigwam, for it is the natural arrangement. But nevertheless, it is not without importance in the craft, for it is the core of every fire lay no matter how elaborate. Viewed in its own right and aside from its contribution as the starting torch of other lays, it has few qualifications as a cooking fire if one intends to do more than stew a pot of tea, because its heat is all thrown to the center of the pyramid and offers no spread for the utensils, and its coals all drop to one small spot in the center. It is good for light, however, and is prized in the evening. First the coil of birch-bark, or the chip of fat pine, or the handful of tiny twigs broken into a pyramid, or the fuzz-stick; then a few softwood sticks from the size of a pencil up to that of your little finger, stacked around it in wigwam fashion, and lastly the hardwood sticks of finger and thumb size. Remember to keep it tall and slender. And keep it small--a foot high and a foot wide at the base. 4, record 74, English, - wigwam%20fire

The Automated Transfer Vehicle (ATV) is a European cargo supply vehicle to be used for the International Space Station (ISS). It will be launched by an Ariane-5 Rocket from Kourou in French Guiana. The first ATV is scheduled to be launched to the ISS in 2003. The European Space Agency (ESA) is to launch 9 Ariane-5's between 2003 and 2014 carrying ATV's. Each 20 tonne ATV will be placed in 300 km, 51.6 degrees orbit and will then manoeuvre to rendezvous and dock with the ISS. The ATV will provide unpressurized cargo, including propellant and cargo stored in its pressurized compartment including payloads and experiments. Tree structures such as the region quadtree ... enable the dynamic and hierarchical partitioning of a (raster) data space as opposed to the static partitioning provided by the previous concepts. Most documented applications of region quadtrees on raster data (e.g. (Worboys, 1995), (Samet, 1990)) use the quadtree structure for encoding the raster data down to the level of individual raster cells or pixels. In this approach simple attribute values (e.g. colour values) are assigned to individual leaf nodes. Instead of simple values, leaf nodes could also hold pointers to more complex information, such as binary data strings. This approach allows the region quadtree to be used as the basis for a dynamic variable-size tiling approach. The criteria determining the depth of the quadtree could either be the spatial dimensions of the smallest tile or the maximum amount of data to be stored for an individual tile. 3, record 86, English, - quadtree%20structure

1, record 89, French, - plateforme%20de%20type%20treillis%2C%20en%20acier
