La rigidité de l'étanchéité multicouche nécessite un tasseau biseauté à la base du parapet afin de soutenir le solin au tournant du coin. Les feutres du solin sont prolongés par-dessus le parapet. Une attention particulière doit être apportée lors de l'épandage du bitume sur les feutres afin d’éviter d’endommager le revêtement du mur extérieur. Les feutres secs ne sont pas étanches à l'eau et ne peuvent empêcher les infiltrations d’eau dans le parapet.
