The second type of precision airdrop is the Precision Guided Air Drop System (PGADS). Several different systems are in development. The idea behind PGADS is to use a ram-air canopy controlled by an electro-mechanical servo system. This flies a load into a specific location from a safe stand-off range vice just utilizing the safety of high altitude. Systems under development range in current weight capacity from 500 to 2000 pounds. The systems use various modes of operation. They can be controlled remotely from the ground or in the air, programmed to home in on a beacon or programmed to fly to a pre-determined gird reference via GPS navigation. 1, record 37, English, - precision%20guided%20air%20drop%20system

1, record 37, French, - syst%C3%A8me%20de%20direction%20pour%20largage%20de%20pr%C3%A9cision

The present classification policy requires the departmental classification of financial transactions in terms of authority, purpose, responsibility and object. Where the expenditure or revenue transactions relate to a process producing more than one output in two or more activities, an allocation method is required to assign these expenditures or revenues to the appropriate activities. While it is preferable that this be done on a transaction-by-transaction basis, in those operations where departments use a cost accounting or other system to undertake the required allocations, the costs of maintaining a transaction-based allocation system may outweigh the benefits. 2, record 52, English, - outweigh

2, record 52, French, - l%27emporter%20sur

The present classification policy requires the departmental classification of financial transactions in terms of authority, purpose, responsibility and object. Where the expenditure or revenue transactions relate to a process producing more than one output in two or more activities, an allocation method is required to assign these expenditures or revenues to the appropriate activities. While it is preferable that this be done on a transaction-by-transaction basis, in those operations where departments use a cost accounting or other system to undertake the required allocations, the costs of maintaining a transactions-based allocation system may outweigh the benefits. 1, record 63, English, - cost%20accounting%20system

It may be impractical for some departments to break down transactions to the full extent called for by the objects in the Master Lists. The use of data broken down into those objects is broad enough to permit relaxation of the principle of a one-to-one or many-to-one relationship between line objects and the economic, source or class objects, when the amounts are insignificant for either one transaction or the total. In such cases, for each line object, departments must provide an estimated percentage breakdown by the object in the Master List. The Receiver General will then be able to take the totals accumulated by line object and apportion them by objects in the Master Lists. 1, record 81, English, - percentage%20breakdown

The ultimate in sizing treatments is achieved by tub sizing. Here the sheet is run through a shallow bath containing a solution of starch and other additives, and the excess solution is removed by passing the sheet through a light nip. Initial drying of the sized sheet is usually accomplished by hot air impingement to avoid disturbing the size film. In tub sizing, the objective is not only to improve surface properties, but also to impregnate the sheet sufficiently to improve such properties as ply bond, burst, stiffness and tensile strength. Tub sizing is sometimes carried out on-machine, but better results are obtained with an off-machine operation. 1, record 83, English, - tub%20sizing

Jointage.
