Eurocorps is a force which consists of up to 60,000 soldiers drawn from the armies of Belgium, France, Germany, Luxembourg and Spain. Engagé dans son ensemble, le Corps européen,(Eurocorps en anglais, Eurokorps en allemand) peut fournir 60. 000 hommes, 700 chars et 300 pièces d’artillerie. C'est le corps d’armée le plus puissant d’Europe occidentale depuis la guerre froide. Créé en 1992, déclaré opérationnel en 1995, il est une initiative franco-allemande à laquelle se sont successivement joint la Belgique, l'Espagne puis le Luxembourg. Outre les cinq pays membres(«nations-cadre»), sept pays de l'Union européenne(Royaume-Uni, Italie, Grèce, Pologne, Finlande, Pays-Bas et Autriche) détachent un nombre limité d’officiers de liaison à l'état-major, à Strasbourg. Eurocuerpo (en inglés Eurocorps, en francés Corps européen, en alemán Eurokorps), ejército de reacción rápida al servicio de la Unión Europea (UE) y la OTAN. Tiene su origen en la brigada germano-francesa creada en 1989 por Helmut Kohl y François Mitterrand. Este ejército de élite simboliza la reconciliación entre ambos países. El Eurocuerpo esta compuesto por cinco Estados miembros: Alemania, Bélgica, España, Francia y Luxemburgo.
