Fourteen organizations across Atlantic Canada have come together to embed sustainability in the region with the Atlantic Canada Sustainability Initiative (ACSI). These partners, ranging from the major Atlantic telecom provider, a large municipal government to a local coffee shop have all taken on the challenge of modeling strategic sustainability using The Natural Step Framework.

Founded in 1990, the Infertility Awareness Association of Canada, Inc. (IAAC) is a national registered charitable organization working for choice and access to treatment options for those with infertility concerns. This is achieved through awareness, support and education. The IAAC is governed by a volunteer National Board of Directors. Chapters (in 1999 located in Halifax, Montréal, Ottawa and Winnipeg), affiliates, and regional and community contacts are located across Canada. IAAC is a founding member of the International Federation of Infertility Patient Associations (IFIPA) and works cooperatively with physician organizations such as the Canadian Fertility and Andrology Society & the Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada. IAAC has a quarterly publication "The Canadian Journal of Infertility Awareness." [Taken from an information paper sent to donators.]

The Americas Counter Smuggling Initiative (ACSI) is a priority undertaking by the United States Customs Service designed to increase the effectiveness of dealing with narcotics smuggling via commercial cargo and conveyances. ACSI builds upon the success of the Carrier Initiative Program and Business Anti-Smuggling Coalition by expanding our anti-narcotics security programs with industry and government throughout Central and South America and Mexico.
