«transfert» : [...] il faut éviter de désigner sous le nom de «versement» l’opération qui consiste à transférer les papiers des bureaux des administrations dans les dépôts de préarchivage. En français «versement» a un sens très précis, qui implique un changement de propriété et de responsabilité de papiers; à partir du versement, l’administration des archives devient propriétaire des papiers versés. Nous adopterons donc, pour le passage des papiers dans les dépôts de préarchivage, le terme de «transfert», plus exact et prêtant à moins de confusion.
