A rigid robot is a system explicitly designed to control motion or flow by overcoming the torque or effort reflected back by its load or task. This means for rigid actuation to be suitable, the task must be able to accept flow, or in other words, the task must be an impedance ... Most environments, however, are admittances not impedances. They are kinematically constrained inertial objects that define flow and accept only effort ... Therefore for a robot to effectively interact with its environment it must control effort, this is defined in the literature as "force control." 1, record 1, English, - rigid%20robot

1, record 1, Spanish, - robot%20r%C3%ADgido

Sign languages are visual/spatial languages, that is, they are designed to be seen, and their grammar is structured in space. Though they are not perfectly equivalent, the signs in a sign language can be regarded as the counterparts of words in an oral language. Each sign consists of a complex movement of the hands and can be described by several parameters: the shape of the hand, the point of articulation, the orientation of the palm, movement, the arrangement of the hands in relation to each other, and rhythm. In linguistic descriptions of sign languages, this movement of the hands is called "manual behaviour." 1, record 3, English, - manual%20behaviour

Osteoarthritis is a form of non-inflammatory arthritis, which is caused by the breakdown of cartilage, which covers and protects bones. Often due to "wear and tear", pain and swelling can occur when the cartilage breaks down. Eventually, the cartilage may wear away entirely and bones will rub together. 7, record 9, English, - osteoarthritis

degenerative joint disease (DJD); degenerative arthritis: [Osteoarthritis] has always been classified as a noninflammatory arthritis; yet, there is increasing evidence for inflammation occurring with cytokine and metalloproteinase release into the joint. 5, record 9, French, - arthrose

The term pseudarthrosis is often used synonymously with the term nonunion. A more limited and perhaps more accurate usage would limit use of the term pseudarthrosis to a variant of nonunion in which there is formation of dense scar tissue and a false joint with serum loculated in the cicatricial mass, the synovial pseudarthrosis.
