The lesser grain borer is a cosmopolitan insect, but it survives best in tropical climates where it attacks cereals as well as milo and sorghum. ... The lesser grain borer is a much more ferocious feeder than weevils and what they do not eat they spoil. The female lays about 300 to 400 eggs and the larvae feed on the kernel remains left by their parents. At 34 degrees C, it takes 25 days for a complete life cycle. The lesser grain borer is a small brown insect with a cylindrical form, about 3 millimetres long. Looking at the insect from the top, its head is completely hidden by the thorax, which forms a hood-like cover. 2, record 4, French, - petit%20perceur%20des%20c%C3%A9r%C3%A9ales

If the grounded-grid amplifier were a perfect amplifier, a bent signal would be amplified bent. However, the grounded-grid amplifier, like all amplifiers, is not perfect; it bends just as much as the cathode follower does. Now, do the two circuits bend in the same direction or opposite directions? Since the common-cathode produces such a clean output, the answer can only be that they bend in opposite directions, so the grounded-grid amplifier undoes the cathode follower's twist of the signal by twisting in the other direction. 1, record 10, English, - grounded%2Dgrid%20amplifier

CR-39 plastic nuclear track detectors (PNTDs) are made of polymers that are sensitive to charged particles of linear energy transfer (LET) greater than or equal to 5 keV/ micrometer. CR-39 PNTDs are usually made up of thin (approximately 0.6 mm) sheets which are assembled in multi-layer stacks exposed in three mutually-orthogonal orientations. Charged particles that pass through the CR-39 PNTD with enough LET break the molecular bonds of the polymer and form a pathway known as the "latent damage trail." As the amount of radiation the CR-39 PNTD is exposed to increases, so does the number of latent damage trails. 1, record 15, English, - CR%2D39%20plastic%20nuclear%20track%20detector

1, record 15, French, - d%C3%A9tecteur%20solide%20de%20traces%20nucl%C3%A9aires

The transfer of the ball from one player to a teammate, usually to the setter, in order to return the ball near the net, in the attack area. 2, record 21, English, - pass
Record number: 21, Textual support number: 1 OBS
The usual tactic is to use the three permitted contacts in order to set the offence. Normally, the "pass" is made at the first contact of the ball. Then the setter makes the second touch by hitting the ball high into the air (this is called a "setup","set" or "set pass") so the spiker can ground it to the floor of the opponents' court (third contact). 2, record 21, English, - pass

3, record 21, French, - passe
Record number: 21, Textual support number: 1 OBS
