F-layer [is] the region of the ionosphere found approximately 90 to 400 miles above Earth and which is responsible for most long distance propagation on frequencies below 30 MHz. 2, record 2, French, - couche%20F1
Record number: 2, Textual support number: 1 CONT

F region [is] the upper region of the ionosphere, above approximately 160 km altitude. F region electron densities are highly variable, depending on the local time, solar activity, season, and geomagnetic activity. The F region contains the F1 and F2 layers. The F2 layer is more dense and peaks at altitudes between 200 and 600 km.
