Cassava bacterial blight. Infested leaf has angular watersoaked spots along its veins, margin, and tip. The infected leaf blade turns brown with the typical watersoaked symptom at the leading edge of the brown patch. As the disease further develops, the spots join together into large patches killing the leaf blade as they expand. The leaf eventually dries and falls down.

L'agent causal de la bactériose du manioc est une bactérie que l'on retrouve à l'intérieur des feuilles et des tiges. Symptômes : Au début, les dégâts causés par la bactériose se présentent sous forme de taches nécrosées d’aspect humide(lésions) [...] Ces lésions angulaires se rejoignent et se transforment progressivement en des taches plus grosses qui détruisent le limbe foliaire. Le limbe brunit et porte à l'extrémité antérieure de la tache brune la tache imbibée qui caractérise la bactériose. Ce symptôme est dénommé brûlure foliaire. Les feuilles gravement brûlées flétrissent, meurent et tombent provoquant la défoliation et le «dieback», ou la mort définitive de la pousse.
