Housing stock is in short supply across Montana: available rental housing stands at less than 1 percent in Bozeman and in Billings, and in Missoula the overall vacancy rate is less than 2 percent. The current real estate boom is a complete turnaround for some communities that experienced a glut of housing in the 1980s. There was a housing surplus in Missoula as recent as 1989, according to Nancy Leifer, coordinator of the Missoula Housing Task Force. In Billings, "the 80s were pretty devastating" says Lucy Brown, executive director of the Housing Authority of Billings. "The market has miraculously reversed itself in four years," Brown says. 2, record 6, English, - housing%20surplus

Floating rate debentures have proved popular because of the protection they offer to investors during periods of very volatile interest rates. When interest rates are moving up, the interest paid on floating rate debentures is adjusted upwards every six months, with a resultant beneficial effect on the price and yield of the debentures. The disadvantage to these debentures is that when interest rates move down, the interest payable on them is adjusted downwards at six monthly intervals and hence their price and yield tends to move downwards faster than for most bonds. 2, record 8, English, - floating%20rate%20debenture

3, record 8, French, - d%C3%A9benture%20%C3%A0%20taux%20flottant
