The planimetric accuracy of the orthoimages depends on control data, the digital elevation model (DEM), and the methodology used to extract the positions of the control points on the image. The best sources of control data currently available in Canada were used to generate the orthoimages. A number of control sources were used to correct the Landsat 7 images, namely provincial vector data, roads resulting from the global positioning system (GPS), data from the National Topographic Data Base (NTBD), and geometrically corrected aerial photography (orthophotos). The control points extracted from the sources generally represent road intersections and centres of mass of lakes or islands. Different DEMs also served in generating these orthoimages; provincial DEMs and Canadian Digital Elevation Data (CDED) at the 1:50 000 and the 1:250 000 scales. Planimetric accuracy is obtained by analyzing the parameters of the geometric correction model (SRIT), the accuracy of the source data used to correct the image, and DEM accuracy. 2, record 7, English, - planimetric%20accuracy

Angular rate gyro accuracy is characterized by two parameters: scale factor and drift. The scale factor describes the capability of the gyro to accurately sense angular velocity at different angular rates. This value is used to convert the voltage output from the gyro into an angular rate. System imperfections can cause small variations in the scale factor. These variations appear as a factor at the output of the gyro. Gyro drift characterizes the ability of the gyro to reference all rate measurements to the nominal zero point. It appears as an additive term on the gyro output, so any actual drift away from a given or predetermined value will cause the angular errors to accumulate. 2, record 11, English, - angular%20error

4, record 11, French, - %C3%A9cart%20angulaire

Systems of proportions. ... the total composition of a wall must be harmonized with the composition of other planes in a three-dimensional whole. ... The means of achieving this harmony differ in every style. ... Medieval architects first used arithmetical modules based on the measurements of areas in the cathedral plan and, in the Gothic period, changed to a geometric system that employed chiefly the equilateral triangle and the square, figures that had symbolic and mystical values. 1, record 15, English, - geometric%20system%20of%20proportions
