Starting with the basics, red wine is an alcoholic beverage made by fermenting the juice of dark-skinned grapes. Red wine differs from white wine in its base material and production process. ... During red wine production, the winemaker allows pressed grape juice, called must, to macerate and ferment with the dark grape skins, which adds color, flavor and tannin to the wine. 2, record 1, English, - red%20wine

2, record 1, French, - vin%20rouge

Searing is a stovetop cooking method that creates a crisp outer coating on the food. Meat and fish is most often seared. This cooking method is sometimes combined with roasting. The fish is seared on all sides in a skillet with a small amount of oil. Once it is browned all over to seal the outside of the meat, it goes into the oven to finish cooking. The meat requires less cooking time in the oven, which reduces the chances of the meat drying out. 2, record 46, English, - searing

The Société de Relations d'Affaires HEC Montréal (SRA) is proud to invite you to HEC Montreal Undergraduate Stock Exchange simulation 2006. This year is the ninth edition of the event and we are continuously aiming to recreate the atmosphere and environment of Wall Street’s old fashioned trading floor involving shouted negotiation (stocks and options). This year, our principal objective is the magnification of the activity through the welcoming of students from many more universities across Canada and the United States , as well as allowing a large audience to attend to the event and increasing our sponsors’ implication. Therefore, we are expecting more than 400 participants to register that will have the opportunity to experiment the broker profession and that will, this year, have the chance to face expert teams throughout the event. 1, record 88, English, - Undergraduate%20Stock%20Exchange%20simulation

1, record 88, French, - Simulation%20boursi%C3%A8re%20inter%2Duniversitaire

On November 11, Saint Martin's day, children in Flanders, the northern parts of the Netherlands, the Catholic areas of Germany and in Austria participate in paper lantern processions. Often, a man dressed as Saint Martin rides on a horse in front of the procession. The children sing songs about Saint Martin and about their lantern. The food traditionally eaten on the day is goose. According to legend, Martin was reluctant to become bishop, which is why he hid in a stable filled with geese. The noise made by the geese betrayed his location to the people who were looking for him. Also in the east part of the Belgian province East-Flanders, children receive presents from Saint Martin on November 11, instead of from Saint Nicholas on December 6, or Santa Claus on December 25. 1, record 93, English, - Saint%20Martin%27s%20day

1, record 93, French, - f%C3%AAte%20de%20la%20Saint%2DMartin

... the twinkle [of stars], sometimes called astronomical scintillation, is caused by motions in the atmosphere. ... Scintillation is caused by air parcels of different densities moving through the line of sight, thereby causing varying refraction of light coming from distant objects. You can see this phenomenon when looking over the top of a car, parked in the sun, toward an object at a distance; in winter, looking over a heated radiator out through the window will show the shimmering of objects. 3, record 98, English, - scintillation

2, record 98, French, - scintillation
